Reds star, Emre Can has the strong feeling that his side, Liverpool can be the kings of Premier League this season as it is now 26 long, painful years since they were last crowned champions of England. Can and his title-aiming teammates are on a mission to put an end to the very poor run.
The German midfield powerhouse is committed to making history at Anfield, following in the famous footsteps of the legends like Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush in bringing the title back to the success-starved Kop.
Can is of the opinion that if a player is playing for Liverpool, ‘for such a fantastic club,’ his pursuit has to be always to win silverware, and now they have to look from game to game, but of course they want to win the Premier League.
“I suppose everyone knows we have a very strong squad and we have confidence enough that can earn us trophies. We are on the path to making history but it comes from hard work. It comes from belief and confidence. There is a long, long way to go. We have to examine not tomorrow but today,” he said.
Can insists in helping to reinforce Anfield so as to make it a more stressful task for opposing teams, with the coach Klopp also strengthening the confidence in the team and producing more fear for the contenders toward Premier League title.
“I think if teams come to Anfield, they don’t think they will win the games easily, that is the fear we are talking about and one of the prior things that will help in the pursuit of the title.”
The Premier League race after eleven weeks remains unpredictable, as the top teams have few points separating them.
