Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes Anthony Martial is peaking at the right time for the Red Devils while showcasing the kind of form he had under former head coach Louis van Gaal. The France international started the ongoing campaign as a regular substitute but he has slowly regained his starting position with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard on the sidelines.
Martial appeared to have single-handedly delivered the points for United after bagging a brace during the Premier League clash at Chelsea last weekend but the Red Devils were eventually pegged back in the final minute with Ross Barkley levelling the scores at 2-2. However, versus Everton, United were much more efficient with the defending during the backend of the game and this ensured that they came up with the three points with Martial bagging a goal and an assist for Mourinho’s men.
Next up, United have an away trip to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth and the match would certainly test their credentials, given the Cherries have made a quick start to the campaign. The South Coast outfit have particularly excelled on the attack front this season and they have bagged nearly two goals per game. Bournemouth are currently just two points behind the Champions League positions after the first 10 games of the season.
