West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal is a big doubt for the visit of London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend. The two clubs meet in a London Derby clash billed for the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon and Czech international right-back Coufal could miss out due to an hamstring problem.
Czech player Coufal missed his first league game of the season against Everton on Sunday as a result of the hamstring injury mentioned earlier. Ben Johnson deputised for him at right-back as the Hammers secured an impressive 1-0 win at the home of the Toffees. West Ham United scored the lone goal of the match through Nigerian-born Italian defender Angelo Ogbonna. The away win over Everton moved West Ham United above their opponents and into the top seven on the Premier League standings.
Coufal has been left out of the West Ham United squad for the Europa League games this season as manager David Moyes rest a lot of his big hitters for Premier League football. However, he missed the Europa League win over Belgian team Genk in Group H due to injury as he was not available for selection like the other two Group H games which preceded the Genk match at the London Stadium on Thursday.
